Overview

Team Manager - Children's Case Management: The Team Manager of the Children's Case Management program plans/facilitates ongoing group and individual supervision, training, and documentation review for Case Management staff (Case Managers for the DCS population, High Needs Case Managers, and Team Leads).

 

In addition to supervision, this position supervises and assists case management staff in using formal and informal resources for clients participating in services, including transition, discharge, and aftercare plans of behavioral health services.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares required reports, inclusive of Incident Reports, Department of Child Safety referrals, QI/QM activities, performance audits, compilation of meeting minutes and supervision logs.
  • Collaborates across internal departments and with outside agencies such as Department of Child Safety, Probation and Parole Departments, Division of Developmental Disabilities, schools and other direct service providers.
  • Participates in assigned JFCS and job related committees as needed.
  • Works effectively within the Arizona Recovery Model as outlined by the 12 principles including: Accessible services, Best practices, Collaboration with families, Collaboration with others, Connection to natural supports, Functional outcomes, Independence, Most appropriate setting, Respect for the child and/or family's unique cultural heritage, Services tailored to the family, Stability, and Timeliness.
  • Works with the treatment and management teams in implementing agency policies and procedures, acquaints the agency with community trends, identifies gaps in services and works with special projects and committees to better meet the client’s needs. Uses the consultation and collaborative team processes in providing coordination of care for clients and to help improve operational processes in the site/agency.
  • Supports staff by aiding in CFT facilitation, Service Planning, Crisis Planning and Annual Assessments.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a human services field, OR a Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years' related experience within the behavioral health field.  
  • 1 to 3 years of supervisory or lead experience.
  • 3-5 years’ work experience in behavioral health management, preferably in case management. 
  • Ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
