Overview

Director of Older Adults Behavioral Health:

The Director will be accountable for clinical, administrative, and supervisory oversight for all services delivered to clients and families using formal and informal resources, including client transition, discharge, aftercare plans of behavioral health services, outreach services, and care management.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides ongoing administrative oversight and clinical supervision to foster a solution and strengths-based orientation to assist staff in effectively addressing the client and family’s ongoing service needs.
  • Demonstrates a positive, strength-based attitude of teamwork and shared leadership.  Provides oversight of contractual encounter requirements with appropriate support from Accounting and Human Resource departments.  Provides ongoing support and recommendations for facility improvements and upgrades as needed. Responsible for the overall work and performance of the Behavioral Health Site. 
  • Provides administrative oversight and is accountable for ensuring adequate supervision of site clinical staff.  Participate in the Performance Improvement Team and provide leadership in implementing the JFCS strategic plan.
  • Provides programming directed at expanding the continuum of services as indicated by community and client needs.  Prepare or review required reports including QM Reports, Performance Reports and other legal and mandated reports.
  • Provides clinical services such as direct therapy, case management services, facilitating intakes, and assessments that foster solution/strengths based orientation.

  • Provides clinical collaboration to coordinate services with other involved agencies, such as Adult Protective Services, Probation/Parole Departments, Division of Developmental Disabilities, Arizona Long Term, and other providers.  

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree from an accredited school in the field of social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related behavioral health field.
  • Must possess an active independent license from the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
  • Two (2) years’ management experience
  • Work experience with the Regional Behavioral Health Authorities (RBHA) in Arizona.
  • Advance level of knowledge acquired through graduate education and increasingly responsible work experience.  
  • Must be eligible to be Credentialed & Privileged by RBHA or relevant licensing board.  
  • Ability to receive/maintain licensing and DPS fingerprint clearance required.
