Intake Clinician: JFCS is currently seeking an Intake Clinician to complete comprehensive assessments for clients ranging from child/adolescent, adult, and birth to 5-years-old.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts intakes and assessments for clients referred by various funding sources, fostering solution/strengths-based orientation, to assist in addressing the client and family’s ongoing needs.
  • Assigns appropriate diagnoses to clients, capturing their behavioral health needs as well as relevant Social Determinants of Health.
  • Prepares required reports, inclusive of incident reports and Department of Child Safety referrals.
  • Collaboration with JFCS behavioral health and medical staff in implementing agency policies and procedures.
  • Identifies, prioritizes and records the client/family vision & goals via the Behavioral Health Service Plan, Safety Plan, and all other related clinical documentation.
  • May provide some case management services.
  • Adherence to best practices, contract, and regulatory obligations for the children’s and GMHSU systems of care.

**Payment ranging from $50-$100 per assessment, based on licensure level, with a flat rate for any onsite training requirements.**

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in behavioral health related field preferred.
  • Ability to be credentialed and privileged at BHT level for clinical liaison.
  • Minimum of two years’ work experience in behavioral health field preferred.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job including prolonged sitting and in certain positions driving, lifting 20lbs, walking, standing and executing dexterity with a keyboard or smart pad.
  • Ability to utilize telehealth platforms and implement ethical telepractice services.
  • Ability to maintain licensing and DPS fingerprint clearance.
