Psychiatrist - Child & Adolescent: This position will be responsible for providing care to Child & Adolescent patients via direct services, as well as through clinical leadership and consultation for the multi-disciplinary treatment team. The Psychiatrist will actively participate in determining the clinical program and any services needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care, such as psychiatric evaluation and medication management.
  • Provides consultation and clinical leadership duties for all members of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.
  • Participates in determining the clinical program and services needed.
  • Inquires about the client’s health and wellness needs and assist in coordinating those primary care or other supportive services with appropriate JFCS staff or external parties to ensure the client’s whole health is addressed.
  • Communicates with other staff as necessary to ensure coordination and follow-through for clients receiving primary care services.
  • Accepts calls and performs on-call responsibilities as assigned by the Medical Director.
  • Participates in JFCS meetings, medical staff meetings, and other professional committees.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy (MD/DO) from an accredited University. Completion of a residency in Adult Psychiatry from an approved program.
  • All Child/Adolescent Psychiatrists must have completed a 2-year fellowship in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
  • Must hold a current and valid license to practice medicine in the State of Arizona.
  • Must maintain and provide evidence of medical malpractice insurance.
  • Must maintain current DEA registration.
  • Excellent verbal and communications skills.
