The Family Consultant II provides intensive home-based services (case management services) to families involved with Child Protective Services (CPS). This position provides parenting skills training, crisis management and links families to community resources. Will work closely with CPS staff and other service providers. The Family Consultant II may also supervise visitation and provide transportation. Family Consultant II will also be assigned to assist in the training of new staff.
Will provide home visits as well as organize and facilitate group sessions for identified families with risks of child abuse or neglect.
Must hold a valid Arizona Driver’s License and be able to transport children. Ability to receive and maintain fingerprint clearance card. Employees will be required to act in a manner that is in accordance with current ethical standards and promotes a positive public image for the organization and the profession. All actions will be in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and the established professional standards. Familiarity with the child welfare system. Experience doing skill building and psycho-educational work. Experience working with children and families.
Bachelors degree with one year of experience working with families and children in a home and group setting required. 3 years strongly preferred. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
